ACBF JOINS UNECA AND PARTNERS TO DELIVER AFCFTA TRAINING TO DIPLOMATS IN ADDIS

The first-ever training session for African Ambassadors and Diplomats accredited to the African Union was successful. This was mainly due to the commitment of the Ambassadors who attended the training. They engaged in constructive dialogue that identified possible solutions to their challenges when advocating for policy in their respective countries. The Ambassadors also fostered collaboration and formed partnerships to support and accelerate the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) implementation.

We are thankful for the support of the African Union – Economic Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry, Minerals (ETTIM), the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan who sponsored the training workshop through the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA). We are also thankful for the technical support from the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), International Trade Centre (ITC), Ae Trade Group, and Africa Business Council (ABC). We want to thank all ambassadors, diplomats, directors, and representatives participating in online and in-person training.

The Foundation will continue to convene more trainings for the African Ambassadors and Diplomats accredited to the African Union as mandated by the African Union.
