Africa in Focus Show @ 10 (2014-2024)

Airborne in May 2014, the objective of the show is to educate the Ghanaian audience about Africa, through the prism of developments in ECOWAS; the African Union; and other African countries. The show is an educational and informative show that calls on resource people from Ghana, the sub-region, and rest of Africa to respond to the intellectual challenges of developing Africa.

Since 2014, the Show has become a reference point for quality analysis and insights on and about the continent. 

The quality of the show is evidenced by its need for continuity on issues. Consequently, the strongest shows have been on ECOWAS(7 shows); Peace & Security (6 shows); East Africa Rising (6 shows); Agriculture (5 shows); Environment, Forestry, Climate Change (5 shows); Africa’s Aviation (4 shows); Tourism (6 shows); Drug Policy in West Africa (5 shows); UNSCR 1325 (3 shows); Renewable Energy (3 shows)

She is Nana Asantewa Afadzinu — the Executive Director of the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI). Previously a visiting scholar at Columbia University’s Human Rights Advocate Training Programme, completed her Masters in Law at New York University and has worked with Media Foundation for West Africa and the Center for the Study of Human Rights, Columbia University, in establishing a West and Central Africa Human Rights Institute. She joined the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) as Governance Program Officer in 2005 and was OSIWA’s Country Coordinator in Nigeria from 2006 to 2008

He obtained his Phd in Social Sciences from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris).He is professor of Geopoliticis of African Conflicts and Peace Research at the Catholic University of Paris. The theme of the show was on Responsibility to Protect(RtoP).
