From 4-8 August, the *AU’s African Minerals Development Centre (AMDC)* convened a workshop in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, bringing together stakeholders and participants from West and Central Africa to unpack a regional perspective on Artisanal Small-scale Mining (ASM) for a continental ASM strategy.
This is the second workshop that follows the East & Southern Africa edition held in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania in April 2024.While there supporting communication efforts under #AMDCMedia, I took the opportunity to make a few observations that I captured under #AbidjanDiary on IG and LinkedIn.
