Brenda Wanjiru is a legal practitioner with years of work in conflict contexts, protection of children affected by conflict and the Rehabilitation of Former Child Combatants.

These experiences have strengthened her belief that transformative change is only possible when we center the voices of the most affected, particularly youth, and historically excluded populations.

Currently advancing her research on the epigenetic and psychosocial impacts of colonial trauma and gender-based violence, while continuing to advocate for the protection of indigenous knowledge, herbal medicine, and traditional health systems.

A huge fan of dark chocolate, and West African food, Brenda is the perfect example of East to West Africa blend.
