The Africa Governance Report (AGR) is a flagship biennial publication of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), produced in collaboration with the African Governance Architecture (AGA) Platform on behalf of the African Union (AU).


The Africa Governance Report 2025 (AGR25) focuses on Natural Resource Governance, examining how African countries can strengthen the governance of land, mineral and marine resources to promote sustainable development, transparency and inclusive growth.


This video presents the key findings of the Uganda Country Case Study on land resource governance, showcasing the country’s legislative and institutional frameworks, as well as the lived experiences of citizens in relation to land governance. The case study also highlights the opportunities, challenges and key policy recommendations identified in the AGR25 to support more effective, equitable and accountable land governance.
