As part of its diplomatic outreach and stakeholder engagement strategy, representatives of the Africa Diplomatic Tourism and Investment Forum (ADTIF 2025) held a productive courtesy meeting with the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Mozambique.
The meeting aimed to brief the High Commission on the progress and strategic direction of ADTIF 2025, which will take place from 20 to 22 August 2025 at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre in Maputo, under the theme “Unlocking Africa’s Tourism Potential through Diplomacy and Investment.”
The Forum, organised in partnership with the Government of Mozambique and led by the African Tourism Board (ATB), African Union Sixth Region Global (AU6RG), Economic Community Africa Sixth Region (ECASR), and the African Travel Commission (ATC), will bring together high-level public and private sector leaders from across the continent and beyond.
The organisers acknowledged Nigeria’s strategic importance to the Forum, not only through the leadership of the African Travel Commission (ATC) and the African Union Sixth Region Global, both currently held by Nigerians, but also through the involvement of prominent business leaders and industry players such as the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), Wakanow, the Pyne Awards, and Kalo Media, demonstrating the country’s vital role in shaping Africa’s tourism, trade, and investment agenda.
The organisers welcomed the High Commission’s valuable inputs and reaffirmed the Forum’s objective to reflect Nigeria’s pivotal role in intra-African trade, tourism, and diplomacy. The engagement marks another important step in ensuring that ADTIF 2025 is inclusive, impactful, and representative of Africa’s diverse strengths.
